The Board of Directors of First Colony LID NO. 2 continues to monitor the flooding situation in Fort Bend County. The National Weather Service continues to project that the Brazos River will crest at 59 feet at the Richmond Flood Gauge late Tuesday or early Wednesday, and will slowly recede afterwards. If the Brazos River is at 59’ at Richmond, the water outside the District will crest approximately one foot below the top of the levee. The District has chosen to participate in a voluntary evacuation at this time, but will update that recommendation if it becomes necessary to order a mandatory evacuation. Operations personnel are on site 24/7 monitoring the situation and running pumps as necessary.
